A company has 2 branches, one is registered in Maharashtra, another in Karnataka. They both have registered under respective VAT laws.
My question: Should I make a single registration or separate registration will be required?

Separate GST enrollment needs to be done in both the state where the company is having branches.
Thus, in short, GST registration has to be obtained for every state in which the company has registered for VAT.
