Dear Friends
GST Council – Constitution
a. Chairperson : Union Finance Minister
b. Vice Chairman : to be amongst the Ministers of the State Government
c. Members : MOS (Finance) and all Ministers of Finance / Taxation of each state
d. Quorum is 50% of total members
e. States – 2/3 weightage and Centre – 1/3 weightage
f. Decision by 75% majority
g. Council to make recommendations on everything to GST including laws, rules and rates etc.
